So you wanna buy a curriculum?
There are many different styles of curriculums and learning styles to choose from. You have your eclectic families who pick and choose different styles. You have your unit studies families where multiple subjects will all be based on one theme, maybe a certain chapter book. Then you have box curriculums where the company chooses everything for you. You also have unschooling where everything is guided by your child’s interests.
There is also classical education where you will fall in love with classical conversations. Then you have Charlotte Mason with wonderful living books and you prepare a “feast” for your children. You also have Montessori, Waldorf, traditional and more. So the best place to start is a quick read up about each style and see which one sounds like a match for your family vision, culture and which one feels right for your family.

Science we want to explore in the coming years:
We know many families who use Kiwi Crates for their science. Love the crates! Don’t love my home turning into a museum of discarded projects.

All Story of The World books. Make sure to get the teacher guide and not just the chapter book. There are so many wonderful lessons and activities that bring the chapters even more to life!

Our family has opted for eclectic. If you know our family, you know that we are truly an eclectic bunch. And within that bunch we have different learning styles depending on the child so we also adapt and pivot for each need.
